Investigating the leak?

They shouldn’t have to look too far. The Obama campaign would be a nice start.

WEll, Obama appoached Joe. Joe is a legal resident. Obama initiated a conversation. Joe asked a question. Obama gave a really self-destructive answer. His answer was used by the Republicans. But Joe wasn't asking anybody to trust him. He asked a question.

Obama's aunt is here illegally. Obama calls people who disagree with him selfish. Yet he has near relatives who are poverty stricken. But he wants us to accept him as, among other things, a moral arbiter of how muchh money and freedom we should have.

So while Joe gets excoriated for a bad answer by Obama, Obama should expect, and it's interesting how hard he resists, a careful enquiry into his moral character, if any.

If a government official leaked information about Obama's aunt, that's wrong. But someone who is here illegally, on welfare, and making donations to a political candidate has few rights to privacy that I can determine.

This means Obama and others knew she was here illegally. Otherwise, how could someone leak the news...

Legal citizen asks a question that embarasses Obama, he gets the KGB treatment. Illegal relative that embarasses Obama is treated like a state secret. The common thread? Anything that embarasses Obama is dealt with in the manner most favorable to him.

The only crime is Obama’s illegal alien aunt freeloading off of the US taxpayer and using monies to make illegal contributions to her Nephews campaign.

Nice try Libs.

If this lady had a deportation order, shouldn’t the DHS/Border/Customs and TSA had her on their computers to deny her re-entry after her return from Africa?

The article doesn't say when the deportation order was given, and I don't see anything about her reentering in the article.

But to answer your question, our systems have greatly improved in the past few years. People coming through now that have deportation orders in the system are caught and returned. I can't speak to the systems pre-9/11, since I was with the Dept of the Navy then.

"...whether any laws were broken in the disclosure that Barack Obama's aunt was living in the country illegally..."

Would somebody explain this to me? What in the hell is going on in this country?

“Half-aunt?” I guess that’s intended to give Hussein a bit of separation.

That’s what I was thinking.... Isn’t hiding a fugitive against the law? Why isn’t that the crime that is being talked about?

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement asked its inspector general and the Office of Professional Responsibility on Saturday to investigate whether any policies were violated when information about Onyango's case was publicly disclosed, ICE spokeswoman Kelly Nantel said.

Maybe you should investigate how the **** she was allowed to stay in the US after she was ordered to leave. Then, how she was allowed government housing while living here ILLEGALLY!

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement" is a freaking JOKE!

This is complete BS. There is no “right to privacy” for immigration hearings.

Exactly.

Since when did a judge's order for deportation become a private matter?

Is she registered to vote?

CAN SOMEONE FIND OUT IF THE AUNT'S ADDRESS IS ON THE VOTER ROLLS? OR IF HER NAME IS? THAT WOULD BE A MASSIVE BOMBSHELL TO SHOW THAT SHE IS ILLEGALLY REGISTERED TO VOTE!!

It's BS that it is illegal for US citizens to know who is in the country illegally.

I'm not ICE or CIS, so I don't know if the information can be obtained through FOIA channels or not (I assume it can.) My point is that it's illegal for someone with the agency to disclose information without proper authorization.

Whether it makes sense or not, them's the rules.

“Funny, there WERE LAWS BROKEN, BY OBAMA HUSSEIN’S AUNT! AND SHE EVEN DEFIED A FEDERAL JUDGE’S ORDER, AND THEN WENT ON WELFARE SO THAT WE THE TAXPAYERS COULD PAY FOR HER. AND THEN, FUNNY, SHE HAD MONEY SOMEHOW TO DONATE TO THE OBAMA HUSSEIN ELECTION FUND!!!”

It was the rent money that she has saved over the years.

Anyone notice a pattern here?

Obama gets the government to seal everything and stonewalls.

Critics of Obama are the victims of organized smears with the government digging thru their trash and every state agency happily dives in to crucify those simple critics like Joe the Plumber.

Gee and authorities have sat on their hands investigating the hacking of Sarah Palin’s e-mail and the illegal release of information on Joe the plumber.

So now it must be illegal to talk about illegals in this country.

The UK Telegraph reported that the denial of asylum/deportation order was issued in 2004.

from the same Telegraph article:

“But a law enforcement official told the Associated Press that her case - coming to light just days before the presidential election - led to an unusual nationwide directive within Immigrations and Customs Enforcement requiring any deportations prior to Tuesday’s election to be approved at a senior level.”

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/barackobama/3362308/Barack-Obamas-aunt-living-illegally-in-US.html

So it seems to me that the law is not enforced uniformly. It seems to be subject to approval by “senior officials”, which is pretty much like having no law at all.

Sort of like that virtual fence...
