We Matter. You Don't! (Ohio)

We Matter. You Don't! This was a historic campaign in so many ways. Too bad for you we had all the fun here in Ohio. By Connie Schultz November 2, 2008

Every four years, Ohio becomes the center of the political universe.

Oh sure, there was a lot of chatter about Florida in 2000, but how many times did you hear people complain that Florida wouldn't have mattered if Al Gore hadn't pulled out of, you guessed it, Ohio?

All this attention on my home state is flattering, but its fickle nature is a teeny bit insulting. We're a fascinating people all the time, not just in presidential election years.

Less than 36 hours!!! The clock is ticking...one final push to save the U.S.A.!

The challenge:

Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. (family, neighbors, friends, people waiting in the check-out line) Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)

So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!

Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this means it is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments and question their faith in the One.

Don’t kick yourself a week from now saying “I could’ve done more....”

Do your part...your country depends on it!

I live in California so it is not the best use of my time to try to sway voters here, although I certainly do talk to my commie friends and give it my best shot. I spent the day today calling Colorado using the phone bank link on the McCain Website. The weird thing was almost every number was wrong; they did not match the name of the list of Republicans. I called the national headquarters to see what was up and they said my complaint was typical and they were suspicious that someone may have hacked their phone bank. I decided to keep calling and just tried to engage who ever answered the phone. I even had a couple of monolingual Spanish speakers. My Spanish is good enough to tell them McCain es muy bueno and Obama es muy malo. I spoke with a guy in Colorado Springs who assured me Colorado was going McCain, but Colorado Springs is a very conservative part of the state. I will continue to concentrate my efforts there. My son is calling Pennsylvania from his home in Marina Del Rey, CA. Where ever we live we should be calling the swing states to buck up support.

I also have made my own signs:

I believe Connie Shultz is the wife of the communist Senator from Ohio; Sherrod Brown.

You should read some of her tripe in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and you would see the clear vision she shares with him.

(The Plain Dealer usually is 50% or more of front-page articles that have bylines by NY Times.....they're as left as you can get.

Ms. Schulz and her commie husband will be crying in their chardonnay after we Ohioans in the western part of the state overwhelm her fellow Clevelanders

and elect John S. McCain President of the United States.

I always thought if Gore carried his own state, Florida wouldn’t have mattered

Wow. She sure doesn't sound like him.

She's generally an ultra-liberal whiner, but occasionally makes some sense.

My obomabot brother and sister in law insisted that their Illinois votes would cancel out our Ohio votes!

Not so fast! Too bad for them we live in a swing state. Now, if they show up in town on Monday, I’ll be suspicious.

Wow! Too good to be true. We win by 3% popular vote, and +20 electoral.
