Spain: Osama bin Laden's son seeks asylum 27-year-old landed at Madrid airport using a passport from Saudi Arabia

updated 6:52 a.m. CT, Tues., Nov. 4, 2008 MADRID, Spain - A son of Osama bin Laden was in Spain and was seeking asylum, Spain's Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.

Omar Osama bin Laden requested asylum immediately after arriving at Madrid airport Monday on a flight from Cairo, Egypt, that had been going on to Casablanca, Morocco, a ministry official said on condition of anonymity in line with ministry rules.

The official said Omar Osama bin Laden was traveling on a passport from Saudi Arabia. The official said he could not say on what grounds bin Laden was requesting asylum.

Asylum from what? Doesn’t he have to prove he is being oppressed somehow? That child looks just like his daddy.

Doesn't Obama, er, Osama have about 16 or 17 wives and more than 50 offspring? That's even more than Warren Jeffs!

I say we ask the Spaniards to turn him over. He may know where his daddy is which could be invaluable to entombing him and his closest thugs.

I wonder why he would seek asylum in Spain; didn’t he apply for a British visa?

It seems his British Visa was denied, “because officials at the British embassy in Cairo, where he and his wife currently live, say they have seen evidence he’s still loyal to his father.”
