Obama Supporters: Now That It's Over... (BIG wishful thinking)

To the supporters of President-Elect Barack Obama, heartiest congratulations. This is a big moment for you and for this nation. You have worked hard and your efforts have been rewarded, your hopes fulfilled and your dreams revived. That is, indeed, a wonderful feeling, and one every human being ought to experience at least once in life.
On behalf of those who supported the other ticket, for whatever reasons -- and none of them matter now -- I'd like to propose an accord. Let us move toward each other with open minds, open hearts and belief in our collective future. Let this be the election that, despite the rhetoric of the campaign season, inspires every American to be his or her best citizen. We sought Change, so let us change the things that divide us as a nation.

We sought Change, so let us change the things that divide us as a nation. Like the President- and Congress-elect?

Can’t we all just get along?
Dream on.

Myself! Do you know where I can pick up the checks for my mortgage payment and gasoline from Obama. Waiting with baited breath.

Sure I’ll reach out. Reach out and show them the same respect they show us and our current President.
BO kool aid drinkers aren’t interested in reaching out. They are only interested in imposing their will on everyone else.

I'm sorry, but if Obama is proposing policies and programs that we find repugnant to our political, philosophical, and religious views, we can say “No” and refuse to work with them, though we can still be polite. We will be civil, but bipartisanship to a Democrat means being weak-spined.

WOW so many things wrong in so few words, where to start?
The reasons I supported McCain and not Obama DO MATTER. They matter because I supported one because he at least is an American and did not support the other because at best he is a Socialist. That matters. It matters to the continuation of our nation. To its security and to its future.
I have no intention of having an accord with Socialists. They have been dragging this Country down for the past 40 years and as bad as it is now they have not gotten us to the bottom of their pit yet..

Let us move toward each other with open minds, open hearts and belief in our collective futureI think what they mean to say is:
Let us move toward each other with open minds, open hearts, and open wallets ... yours to give and ours to receive ... in a shared belief in our collective future.
