United Press International ^ | Nov. 6 2008 | Martin Sieff

On Tuesday Obama rewrote the political map of America as no one has done since Ronald Reagan. Only Reagan and Franklin Roosevelt in the past century have come to power through achieving such far-reaching political realignments in their election victories.

Reagan had ‘substance’ and ‘experience’.

Obama is black and was a ‘creation’ by the LibDems.

Shaddup, UPI! Its not a political realignment election. Liberalism wasn't on the ballot Tuesday night. Obama did not run as a liberal. There was nothing transformational about the election - unless it was about race.

Ronald Reagan did not have the MSM in his pocket.

He was a voice of optimism that caused us to feel better about America and inpired us to do great things.

Is that what Obama inspires? He inpires hatred of his country, punishing success and government control.

Which one of these is better? You decide.

No.

If Obama turns out to actually be black (remember that we still don’t know), then this would be a tremendous historic occasion.

Of course Reagan's was more historic - RWR briefly reversed America's long slow climb down to authoritarianism.

The only thing noteable about Obama's election is its is taking us down three or four rungs in a single step.

Say what? Bubba had more electoral votes than Barry both times.

Donald Duck could have beat McCain with 600,000,000 bucks and the full 100% support from the 24/7 MSM. Whats the big deal here? Ameraka has 60% sheeple.

Well it might have been transformational in that it is probably the first Presiential election that has seen its output driven by the Lame Stream Media. I know we have watched this in the past, but this is the frist one where then entire nation can see it - AND THEY DON'T CARE THEIR MEDIA IS THE DNC PROPAGANDA ARM.

Rush just announcing the Wall Street sell-off so far is the largest post-election since 1900.

The only thing historic about Obama’s election is the level of stupidity of the American people.

Ronald Reagan was one of the great statesmen of the 20th Century.

Barack Aborta is the David Dinkins/Marion Barry administrations on a national scale. Nothing more and maybe considerably less. Aborta will crash and burn in spectacular fashion.

0bama will be so horribly unpopular in 4 years that, assuming we still have elections, Sarah or Jindal or Petraus (or two of the three together) win with the same kind of landslide.

Yes. Reagan's election was a reaffirmation of Constitutional government and a repudiation of FDR. Obama's administration will be FDR on crack.

Ameraka has 60% sheeple.

60%? More like 80%. In addition to media dominance, the left owns K-12 education. Starting at age 5, the world is presented to you with a leftward slant. That is, the past, present, and future of the world. In addition, forget about developing the skills you'll need to make it on your own once you "graduate." Public education today is not about preparing individuals to be free-thinking members of our society. Its aim is to create a dependent class of idiots who will suckle liberalism's breasts. What did Obama's terrorist buddy go into when he wanted to 'mainstream' himself? Education. Think about it.

How many students fail to graduate from high school in this country? How many enter the workforce straight out of high school? How many of these individuals have the capability to think for themselves and survive on their own? Then we have those who do go on to college and sit through indoctrination otherwise known as lectures given by hard left profs.

Conservatives like to blame lefty colleges for the slanted view possessed by the citizenry, but it's really in primary and secondary education where the clay is molded.

The one thing historically significant about Obama’s election is that the race card is now definitely damaged and maybe off the table at least some. That could be a good thing in the future.

That’s all I’ll concede.

Any Dem but Obama would have won this election by 10 points and 40 states.

He struggled.
