Gun owners should look into the mirror...they have only themselves to blame.
Apparently the 80+ million gun owners bloc has voted for this socialist to some degree, showing again that Americans cannot stick together even when the countrys very future is at stake. If gun owners had truly voted en masse against Hussein, he’d be slinking off to Chi-town right now.
When the Dimmi congress passes McCarthys AWB next spring, you think maybe BO will sign it? Ya think?
With Obama and a Dem-controlled congress, well see gun registration by this time next year, using the 4473 info: my prediction...write it down. Can states’ rights keep him from federally outlawing your CCR permit?
All the big talkers that have said over the years ..from my cold dead hands... will get their chance, maybe sooner than later. (Alas, I wonder how many of these will submit, like the poor fools in New Orleans did. Its hard to fight when you are alone and the JBT are at the door in their SWAT outfits, and you have no backup to call...)
Finally, remember in the controversial novel The Turner Diaries when the govt used freed prisoners and gangs to collect the guns? (They were expendable.) Now, please remember Obamanures call for a Civilian Security Force? Get the connection?
Organize with like-minded individuals NOW, while there is time.

Whst would you have done? I’m really curious.
Why should they? He and his vice presidential pick said that he wouldn't ban guns, and McCain's silence on the issue seemed to reinforce their assertions. Sure, the NRA did what they could to alert people about Obama's terrible positions on gun freedoms, but it never got any coverage in the news because McCain didn't campaign on the issue.
Instead of blaming the voters, maybe the Republicans should instead look in a mirror. If you want the votes of gun owners, don't run a candidate who wants to ban gun shows. Sure, Obama is a lot worse. But how is the average voter to know that when McCain didn't make gun rights part of his platform?
If anything, gun owners should be telling the Republican party "we told you so". Half the Republican candidates fawned over by many on this site (Giuliani, Romney) had an anti-gun history almost as bad as Obama's. McCain's was better, but still pretty mediocre.
It would have been trivial for McCain and the Republicans to get more gun votes (both Democrat and Republican). But it isn't likely to happen unless the Republican candidate makes an appeal to those voters.
Getting gun voters is easy. All the Republicans would have had to do was promise to reform the more oppressive and stupid parts of federal gun laws (18USC922R, for example) that the Republicans gave us in the first place. Reform the BATFE. Repeal the Hughes amendment. Clarify the 12 gauge shotgun exemption in GCA'68 that was abused by Clinton via executive order. There are any number of things the Republicans could have promised, all of which would've been trivial to implement and many of which would save taxpayer dollars while having no negative impact on the rest of the electorate that could even theoretically cost them a single vote.
But the Republicans can't be bothered to actually do anything for gun owners, even if it just cleaning up their own past misdeeds. The best gun legislation in the past 25 years was the FOPA back in 1986 (despite the vile Hughes amendment), and that was co-introduced by a Democrat (Harold Volkmer).
The first step is getting together ping lists from this thread and other threads like it, then taking the discussion to a private venue. This is most infiltrated, trolled site on the internet. The walls have ears.
If we don't organize now, we're sitting ducks.
