Judge Clears Way For Same-Sex Marriages BY DANIELA ALTIMARI | The Hartford Courant 9:54 AM EST, November 12, 2008 NEW HAVEN - A 4-year legal battle for same-sex marriage came to an end this morning in a New Haven courtroom when Superior Copurt Judge Jonathan E. Silbert signed an order. The state Supreme Court last month, in a 4-3 decision, ruled that preventing gay and lesbian couples from marrying violates the state constitution. Today's brief hearing was a formality that was needed before gay couples could start receiving marriage licenses.

Immediately after the court proceeding, one of the plaintiff couples, Barbara and Robin Levine-Ritterman, were on their way to New Haven city hall to obtain their marriage license.

Attorney Bennett Klein of GLADD, the Boston-based legal group that litigated the case, told the court how proud each of the couples is to live in Connecticut.

This "does mark the end of a very long journey toward equality," he said.

With morons like this running the state, soon it will violate the state constitution if one cannot marry a sheep, or a horse, or a dog, or a cow! Next we will have Barbara and her cow Lulu calling on city hall to obtain their marriage license.

I’d like to welcome these same sex couples to another institution, divorce court. Which I’m sure they’ll be frequenting soon.

That’s because the MSM are already tired of kissing Hussein’s behind during the elections and have no other spin story to concoct so this is the next non-news they made into news.

And then the next logical extrapolation will be that when the cow gets pregnant and has a calf, the cow will be classified as permanently disabled, since it can’t talk or think in traditional human sense, and is thus unable to gain employment due to this “disability.”

This determination will qualify the cow and the calf for SSI benefits for life, payable care of the human.

That’s what it’s all about. Follow the money. The state rakes in the money for the licenses, the attorneys rake in the money for the divorces.

Other states will see the profitability of this - and there goes the country. We have become a nation of GREED and GIVEAWAYS. I frankly so NO hope... there are no principles anymore.

That would be fun to watch! I hope there is a Homo divorce court t.v. show. I can laugh my ass off watching two fruits cry and yell at each other. Judge Judy would be screaming through the entire show......

In the book of Romans, it says that God gave them up to their sins. These gay victories are a sign that God is giving up on America. The few faithful better prepare for some severe persecution.

The state Supreme Court last month, in a 4-3 decision, ruled that preventing gay and lesbian couples from marrying violates the state constitution.

Next step: showing up at the Catholic Church and demanding a wedding.

To those outside the State of Connecticut:

No one voted on this. This was pure judicial activism. CT already recognized civil unions, but I guess it was important to homosexual activists to have the right to attach a religious label to their partership.

The right to call a Constitutional convention, as a means to regain some control over our own lives, was winning by a 2-1 margin about a year ago. Then the activists implemented a media blitz and the measure was voted down.

Yes, the drive by media will continue this, non stop. And of course with every story, comes the extremely offensive homosexuals kissing on the evening news, during dinner.

This happens every time a story about fake marriage airs. I wonder, are the networks trying to lose money? Are they trying to get viewers to turn them off? It has gotten so bad, we turn on the exact time the weather airs, and then sports if it a day when sports are aired. Other than that, the news is just too offensive. We read what we chose to read online regarding what is going on in our area.

Their neighbors north did exactly that, as well as parent a and parent b. And yes, CT will follow suit. Sad to think that this is where the revolution started, now it is the first area to go down the sewer.

It was bad judgment all the way around.

“That’s what it’s all about. Follow the money.”

I think money was a factor in the argument by the government if it was on the side of legalizing gay marriage but it seems to me that it would be a pretty negligible amount. I think part of the problem is the American Bar Association. That national organization is very, very liberal and has driven out most conservative attorneys but it holds sway over a lot of the process of vetting judges for appointment in state and federal courts. Where many years ago a judge’s political philosophy was not that important, recently it has become a qualifying/unqualified factor. We have judges who are liberal themselves and want to be seen by their peers as progressive. They believe the gays who dwell in their social circles have rights and they are going to do whatever they can to ensure those rights are granted.
