I’m still thinking about this. Please allow me to think out loud as I still haven’t formed an opinion.
Question: Is this a hill worth getting killed on?
Question: What does those who do choose this hill stand to gain...or lose.
Question: Is control of the Senate going to matter. (McCain, Snow, Collins Graham et. al. could easily sell us out)
Yeah, I’m with ya. I actually think 57-58 in the Senate is enough to invoke cloture with those Senators you list. I’ve been thinking out loud with a few friends and have come up with no one that really fits. I really see McCain distancing himself from the Party. I also see him, possibly, retiring before 2010 or even losing.
