Thanks to the US taxpayers, I had the privilege of participating in Red Flag at Nellis AFB. Yes, it's old news... first I've seen or heard of it. Watch it full screen.

If you’re the sensitive linebacker type; you better watch this film alone! You don’t want anyone to see you crying do you?

You can watch it on your computer by clicking on the link above ( hulu.com ) and you'll be redirected to the film, or watch it right here >>>

or purchase it as a DVD. The film opened as an IMAX film in 2004. I do not know if it is still running in any IMAX theaters or not.

It sure lifted my spirits! I’m going to search for an IMAX theater momentarily, to see if and where it might be running. Watching it on an IMAX screen must be thrilling, to say the least. To date: I’ve seen Speed, in Chicago, Whales, in Phoenix, and Everest, in Branson, on IMAX screens. All stunning, as is the format. ;o)

I spent my Guard time as a parachute rigger w/ an IL ANG fighter unit. Packed the drogue, drag and personnel chutes (Martin Baker) in F-4’s (AKA-tugboats/Red Forces). lol Also packed drogue and personnel chutes (ACES III) in F-16’s. 1-RF, 1-GF (Gulfport, Miss.)

On target/on time!

I’m a little surprised at how much the brass has relaxed the standards regarding public dissemination of the ‘inside skinny’ on Red Flag. We got the third degree on not talking about the ‘threat yard’s’ contents. The ‘big board’ was awesome from a REMF’s point of view! I loved the cheering from the aircrews in the auditorium, when someone was taken out. I can only imagine what a ride it must be for the fast movers. Proud, grateful American, saluting the finest, from Ft. Living Room!
