Tom Brokaw: talk show host or DNC enforcer? Barack Obama and Harry Reid were willing to let bygones be bygones, letting Joe Lieberman keep his Homeland Security Committee chairmanship.
But Lieberman's professed "regret" for statements he made in the course of supporting John McCain for president wasn't good enough for Brokaw. Interviewing Lieberman on Meet The Press today, Brokaw pointedly observed that he hadn't heard the word "apology" for the senator's lèse majesté. Brokaw broached the subject by asserting Lieberman needed to be held "accountable."

Ve haf vays of making you apologize ping to Today show list.
You’re nothing in DC until you’ve had the press force you into at least one apology.
Tom, how’s about you apologize to us for representing yourself as an “unbiased journalist” for so many years?
New game show. Biggest Bambi Rectal Kisser.
That propoganda dispenser in the corner wants to educate you. Don't let it!!!!
I don’t get it. What is he supposed to apologize for?
Oy
Does Brokaw or NBC regret not honestly disclosing the
financial and close relationships between his/its
reporters, their spouses, and the Agencies upon which
they purportedly ‘report’? I think not.
Hey, Tom: Did you ever apologize for calling Florida for Gore before the polls closed in 2000?
Exactly, nothing to apologize for. Except his lib views on almost everything except the war.
Why is Lieberman not allowed his own opinion without Dems trying to derail him? I mean isn’t that part of what the rats have said for years, everyone is entitled to their own opinions?
It’s no secret anymore.
Barackaw is just another DNC enforcer.
Old media has-beens trying to look important.
He might think about Rather and what happens to goofballs that go down that road.
How long will it be before we see Lockjaw yachting off of the Vineyard some July afternoon with Cronkite and the Clintons?
Lieberman is a pretty liberal Senator. The only mistake he made was being pro war in Iraq before being for the war was fashionable amongst liberals.
So now watching the left crucify him, I can’t help but wonder what these talking heads telling me that the new government is going to “rule from the center” are talking about...
I heard the interview.
Brokaw referred to vague statements said during the campaign, to which Liberman said he regretted.
Brokaw wanted Liberman to give an apology — but Liberman stuck to his statement that he had regrets, as do most people for some of the things they say during a campaign.
There was never any exact thing — just “some statements”.
Brokaw was also calling for the overthrow of the government this morning, saying that Bush must step down now instead of January, because we can’t wait for Barry to take total control. Tom also took his marching orders from Rahm and kept demanding that Lieberman apologize to Barry and the DNC for saying things during the campaign that weren’t politically correct. The feeble Brokaw should retire before he embarrass himself any further. Even listening to him read from a teleprompter with that Elmer Fudd speech impediment is a chore.
I was watching K-K-K-Katie the other night (please don't ask...it wasn't my TV) and she said that Lieberman had suggested that Hussein was a Marxist.Perhaps that's one of them.
