***’Britain’s wake-up call’; ****

I am reminded of what happened to Singapore at the start of WWII. The Japs had landed and were marching south. Singapore was cut off. The BRITISH commander refused to prepare defenses for the city because “he didn’t want to alarm the public.”

Interesting and a 'timeless message' here; albeit; it does have me wondering, just what it takes today, TO alarm the public. Mention the truth and you are 'fear monngering'. . .race-baiting or engaging in politically-correct ad nauseums. ..so to speak. . .

The messenger IS the message; and the public do not like the message.
