But actual Constitution Party material is to one extent or another banned on Free Republic, is it not? How about materials from America's Independent Party, which is also a Constitutionalist party?

The piece says that the Constitution is the largest third party? or did I get that wrong? America's Independent Party is claiming the same thing. Perhaps the two will find a way to get together.

Alan Keyes had been asked to run as the Constitution Party nomination, but, I get from a higher-up in America's Independent Party, the CP didn't treat him very well at their convention. Chuck Baldwin got the vote. It was only then that Ambassador Keys was picked up by AIP.

But from their respective web sites, I notice no difference between the two parties. If they were to find some way to throw in together, that unit might prove to be very effective.

If you put together all the Third Party loons, you would be lucky to get 5%.
But since they are more in line with the left, being anti war, and some of their candidates global warmers, for amnesty, for gay marriage, and 9/11 Truthers there is your home.

The Constitution Party has several state affiliates. In some states, they go by the name American Independent Party. In reality they are the same thing. However, the state affiliates sometimes feel free to nominate their own candidate.

I was a delegate to the Constitution Party nominating convention. Alan Keyes made it clear he would not support several planks of the CP's platform. I can respect a man who says, "Here's where I stand. Take it or leave it." However, such a man has to understand that it goes both ways. If we vote for a platform, he must expect that we'll nominate someone who will support it. So, we nominated Chuck Baldwin. He made it clear he would support the CP's platform.

As for Mr. Clymer, he's a nice guy. It's too bad he has the same name as a jerk of a reporter.
