NEW South Wales Premier Nathan Rees wants to appeal the reduction in the sentences given to brothers Bilal and Mohammed Skaf over the gang rape of a teenage girl.
"I'm just off the phone to the acting attorney-general (Verity Firth) to see if we can appeal that decision, and if we can, we will," he said.
"This is exactly the sort of decision by the judiciary that gives rise to claims in the community that the judiciary is out of touch."
Bilal Skaf, 26, and his 25-year-old brother, Mohammed, were appealing their convictions and sentences for the gang rape of a 16-year-old girl at Gosling Park Greenacre, in Sydney's west in August 2000.
They failed to overturn the convictions but had their sentences reduced.
The cut prompted outrage from "Darren", the father of a teenage girl identified only as Miss C who was raped at Bankstown by a pack including the Skaf brothers just two weeks after the Gosling Park offence.
"It's unbelievable," Darren said after hearing of today's sentence cut.
"I don't get it, what's the go with judges and their court of criminal appeal? Do they love it? What's the go here?
During the Gosling Park appeal, the Skafs' lawyers had argued there was no long-term physical injury suffered by that victim.

What part of "gang rape" do the lawyers not understand? I'm never going to be approved to sit on a board like that because I don't understand why violent rapists are ever given anything less than life with no possibility of parole, which still falls short of my first choice penalty.
Telling descriptive. Around here, packs of ferals are destroyed. Sounds like Britain needs to put a bounty out for these packs.

Around here rape continues to be the crime these pukes get punished for ~ not bodily injury!
This makes me think that it's possible we ought to get into the business of rejecting entry of Aussies from that state lest they think they can get away with such things.
If I remember my reading history correctly, Vlad impaled anyone and everyone that collaborated with the Turks. Dude, didn’t play around and he’s a hero IMO. He slowed down the Turks significantly from continued movement into Western Europe.

I don’t even try to understand the feelings and history of that area. Constantinople should of never been allowed to fall and that would of taken care of the Turk problem before it even started.
I say let them go, under one circumstance....The lawyer has to be sodomized by a gang. Then if he can say that again with a straight face.....

sorry to say this but perhaps old fashioned justice will sometime return....it would only take a few cases and these attacks would end.....
Personally, I like the procedure outlined by a friend of mine: they should be shot,hung,and drowned before being sent to the electric chair.
