A new national poll suggests that almost a quarter of Americans think that Dick Cheney is the worst vice president in American history.

Vice President Dick Cheney says he's comfortable with his accomplishments and isn't troubled by his ratings.

Twenty-three percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Monday say that Cheney is the country's worst vice president, when compared with his predecessors.

Oh, gee, where shall I start?

+23 percent say worst 41 percent say so-so 34 percent say okay

so, CNN, in an effort to be fair and balanced (!) touts the 23 Percent number in the headline.

+ From the article, "Although extremely unpopular..." Say what? 34 percent say okay, 23 percent say horrible, and he's extremely unpopular?

+ 1,013 "adult" Americans took the poll. Okay, CNN, how many were RATS, how many were pubbies and when did they last vote?

I'm not 100% rah-rah Cheney, but the bias in this hit piece is breath taking.

Absurd on the facts, and a testament to the poor job done by the Bush Administration in defending itself.

Hard for me to think of anything Cheney did particularly wrong. Nor do the usual hit pieces get down to specifics.

He obviously did a spectacular job on 9-11.

I watched Fox news interview last night with Disk Cheney.

To think we are trading a mans man, gentleman, statesman, patriot, straight shooter, defender of America for an ass clown like Biden is simply mind boggling.

I wish he would have run for POTUS instead of that POS McCain.

"I wish he’d have been President."

I think he would have merited it.

He played a crucial role in many of the Bush administration's crucial policies and was a major proponent of using and expanding executive powers.

Which is not the role of a VP.

This is just an attack piece against the vice president.

What did the CNN poll say in late 1980 about the people’s opinion of Fritz Mondale’s vice presidency? How about in late 2000 about Gore’s?

CNN is just preparing the template that America is totally united and ready for a full plate of socialism in preparation for Obama.

Of these people who think Cheney is the worst VP ever; ask them to name even ten other US VP’s.

A poll is never an actual story about an event or actual news. It is a position or image the media wish to push.

That being said the VP does next to nothing, and I say VP Cheney has done next to nothing as well as any man in that position from the founding of our Republic.

My favorite VP has to be Aaron Burr, mostly because he killed the Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton in a duel. If Cheney would take that page out of history at this opportune moment he would catapult to the top of the list.

I doubt if the asses that seem to have assumed the majority in this country could name more than a half dozen (with luck) of the VP's prior to Al Gore, let alone have a clue about their performance.

Right on there!!!!!
Cheney would have been the right President at the right time.
Daylight and Dark between him and Bush and Cheney is the real Conservative.
Bush’s problem may have been that he didn’t listen to Cheney enough.
