Jan. 2, 2009 COLOMBO, Sri Lanka - Government forces captured the Tamil Tigers' de facto capital in northern Sri Lanka on Friday, dealing a devastating blow to the rebels' quarter-century fight for an independent state, the president said.

After 25 years a bloody ethnic conflict in what has been called the "resplendent isle" of Sri Lanka, "Taprobane" and "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" may be finally coming to an end. The Norwegian inspired peace process was a hoax. In battle there is only victory and defeat.
This is something the IDF and W understand.
