Inauguration Information
Are you planning on attending the Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 20? The answers to several questions might be helpful in deciding whether to attend inauguration activities:
Do you have the physical stamina to stand outside, "shoulder to shoulder," in large crowds for four, five or six hours or more and then spend additional hours getting back home?
Are you comfortable in extremely large crowds?
Can you walk long distances to get to your destination?
Are you prepared for the extremely long delays getting to and from events?
Can you care for and control small children in large crowds and tight spaces for long hours, if you plan to bring them?
For further information, the Fairfax County Inauguration Web page (http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/news/inauguration) has links to local, state and federal resources, including transportation, traffic and weather alerts, tips on how to be prepared and news releases.

From the looks of it I'm going to get spammed for the next 12 days. This one is kind of telling - are they trying to discourage people?
“Do you like gladiator movies”?
“If you can’t walk a straight line, can you recite the alphabet backwards starting with ‘z’?”
“Will you eat green eggs and ham?
Will you eat them, Sam I Am?”
Closing the bridges from VA to DC, telling folks 10,000 buses full of visitors coming to town, threatening to close down city streets at the DC-MD border. It sure sounds like someone want to keep people away from the coronation...or am I just going wild with conspiracy delusion?
And don’t forget the special $10.00 metro cards required instead of using my flash-pass for the $2.50 everyday trip to work.
Me, I’ll just stay home that day and avoid everything.
They know the Left will whine about everything.
They need nannies to take care of them. We now have a Federal government of NBNs (Nothing But Nannies) being sworn in hence the emails.
If it’s like JFK’s swearing in, it will be cold, snowy and not fit for man nor Zero.
It will be cold. Days leading up to the 20th will be in the low 30s. Evenings will be in the low 20s. But it won’t bother me. I might not even watch it on TV.
They are preaching to the choir.
The libs will just pee on each other to keep warm.
I will do anything to keep from watching it on tv. I guess its either the game show channel or home and garden tv for the next 2 weeks. Or I might just turn the stereo on.
My plans exactly;Thank God for cable TV!
Looks like. Probably not a bad thing; I can see all kinds of kids crushed, old people passing out, frostbitten fingers, Metro trains that don't arrive on time or are packed full, train after train. Of course, all of this will be blamed on the outgoing Republican administration. : )
I'm from DC. I stopped going to the 4th of July events on the mall eons ago, for just the reasons given in your alert. Even if I were an Obot, I wouldn't go to the inauguration.
Next 2 weeks, hell. Next 4 years. Between HGTV and the History channel, I'm gonna know more about decorating and Hitler than anyone on the planet.
