It’s a combination of Earth’s magnetic field, and the Sun’s magnetic field, which have a lot of influence on the amount of cosmic radiation hitting the atmosphere. Cosmic radiation has an effect on cloud formation, and thus the amount of sunlight that hits the ground, and thus on the Earth’s temperature.
