I knew two homosexuals when I was in. The first was a lesbian who aggressively hit on other women in the dorm while in tech school; unfortunately, the other women where tolerant of her unwelcomed behavior. This became apparent to us only when she tried to commit suicide by cutting her wrists with a broken light bulb.
The second was one of six guys in the Air Force who have AIDS. For whatever reason, the identity of these six is secret, even to their supervisors (I guess so there is no stigma). We became aware of him when AFOSI (type of police) informed me (squadron commander) that they were investigating whether to charge him with knowingly infecting another man with AIDS (thats a big crime). The man who was infected was his own cousin, also in the military. When the infected man found out AFOSI could put his cousin in jail, he changed his story to say he got infected in a bar downtown. So this homosexual with a lethal disease, who has unprotected sex with other men, is still in the Air Force.
Homosexuality has an adverse impact on our military.
That kind of PC crapola is ridiculous and can kill people, either in a medical emergency (contact with their blood etc.), or b/c no one around them knows to warn others or object to their behavior if they are still infecting others.
I do realize that issues of privacy and confidentiality can be very sensitive, but this is putting the interests of these six individuals above the safety of everyone around them.
