Animal Rights Radical in the Obama Administration
Dakota Voice ^ | January 19, 2009 | Bob Ellis

The Center for Consumer Freedom says President-Elect Barack Obama’s pick for “regulatory czar” of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, Harvard Law School Professor Cass Sunstein, is a radical animal rights activist.

The piece points to a 2002 paper written by Sunstein entitled “The Rights of Animals: A Very Short Primer” as Exhibit A.

In this paper, Sunstein argues for the “rights” of animals and placing them on a par with the rights of human beings. He laments that current laws which protect animals from cruelty do not include hunting, medical research, and food animals.

We can't be expected to render a verdict without proper evidence.

There are rules of procedure, you know.

Barack Obama: “I Am Now a Vegan” [It’s SATIRE, folks!]

I say it isn’t satire. But the moderators felt it was. I say he was speaking to the PETA/Environmental activists.

Posts are added throughout the thread showing why I believe it wasn’t satire.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to respond to the comments on the thread - with apologies.

I must go to work - a job for which I am most thankful, since it will keep me away from the coronation.

Does this mean he can institute national “chickens need to spread their wings” regs?

There it is. There'll be no need to possess guns whatsoever.

So, wouldn’t owning a dog be a type of slavery? What happens when BO doesn’t turn the White House vegan or even vegetarian? Are they going to storm state dinners? Shouldn’t the turkey that gets spared every year get to stay in the Lincoln bedroom and have an opportunity to address the press as an an equal?

When I can't buy meat-based dog food for my babies, I'll start "shopping" for Liberals instead.
