Ok lets start with travel and transport . It is very very cheap .

Eg - in 25 rs (which amounts to 60 cents) you can travel the whole of mumbai city on a public transoprtation day pass .

Food is cheap too - I eat 4 meals - costing under 2 dollars per day .(And I eat non - vegetarian meals )

Leasing in Mumbai is a dicey topic . Because flats can be as cheap as 100 $ a month (two person can stay)
and go upto 10 000 $ a month depending on location within mumbai .

My family rented out a flat to a British expat for 600 $ per month .It’s a 2 bedroom hall and kitchen and 2 bathrooms with bathtub (a rarity in mumbai) :) And it’s in a prime location .If a location is not prime its is much much cheaper .
