Ruling by a radical

Oh dear. The idea that Obama is a centrist who wishes to end the culture wars is laughable. (Indeed, in such a war there is no centre ground: you are either on one side or the other). The White House website sets out his agenda on ‘civil rights’, which includes expanding federal ‘hate crime’ legislation, ending racial profiling, repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and supporting full civil unions that give same-sex couples legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples, giving adoption rights to gay couples, and lifting the federal ban on needle exchange – a policy promoted by drug legalisers on the disingenuous grounds that this will reduce infection among drug users but which actually helps normalise drug abuse.

But as I pointed out here, such use of community organisation also follows to the letter the template for social revolution laid down by Saul Alinsky, the Marxist ideologue and activist who set out in his book Rules for Radicals how capitalism would be overthrown by the mobilisation of the masses and the whipping up of their discontent. The strategy revolved around creating apparently moderate local organisations that would be manipulated by community organisers -- effectively deniable political agitators -- to foment grievance and dissent. Alinsky’s thinking permeates ACORN and other community groups that in the past were associated with or funded by Obama, and which push an agenda that is as coercive and corrupt as it is seditious. America's First Community Organiser promised ACORN during his campaign that within his first 100 days in office he would invite them in to discuss how they could help him change America.

It has started already.

To remake the country in your own image and beliefs, you have to totally destroy what currently exists, simple as that.

They want total breakdown and massive unrest, their egos make them believe they can control the unrest and channel it to the ir side. Trouble is that they depend on spending other peoples' money - their constituents don't have it. When the money they take from the true Americans runs out, they have nothing to offer. The one stopgap to them achieving their end goal is the 2nd Amendment - they will spend their last effort at erasing it and removing the final forceful threat to them.

Rules of Radicals is a great book, and Alinsky was definitely a deep thinker. Yes it is a book to direct the expansion of socialism. However, the same rules can be applied to make a populist impression on the government using the very same tactics. Instead of radicals, imagine a group of business owners, fighting for less taxation and our rights back.

Rule 1: Power is not only what you have, but what an opponent thinks you have. If your organization is small, hide your numbers in the dark and raise a din that will make everyone think you have many more people than you do.

Rule 2: Never go outside the experience of your people.
The result is confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 3: Whenever possible, go outside the experience of an opponent. Here you want to cause confusion, fear, and retreat.

Rule 4: Make opponents live up to their own book of rules. “You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 6: A good tactic is one your people enjoy. “If your people aren’t having a ball doing it, there is something very wrong with the tactic.”

Rule 7: A tactic that drags on for too long becomes a drag. Commitment may become ritualistic as people turn to other issues.

Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.”

Rule 9: The threat is more terrifying than the thing itself. When Alinsky leaked word that large numbers of poor people were going to tie up the washrooms of O’Hare Airport, Chicago city authorities quickly agreed to act on a longstanding commitment to a ghetto organization. They imagined the mayhem as thousands of passengers poured off airplanes to discover every washroom occupied. Then they imagined the international embarrassment and the damage to the city’s reputation.

Rule 10: The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Avoid being trapped by an opponent or an interviewer who says, “Okay, what would you do?”

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

I am glad this man is dead. It would only have been better if he had died much earlier. No apologies for that.

For all of those people who thought Philip J Berg was a nut or a fruitcake: Look at yourself in the mirror and see that perhaps you have part of the PROBLEM, not part of the solution.
Those of you who didn’t DEMAND that your local Clerk Recorder clean up the voter registration rolls, and keep all the ACORN phonies out of the Nov voting booths: Look into the mirror.
For those of you who think that ACORN is only a “Community Organizer group”: Look into the mirror.
Those of you who think the Motor Voter law is just fine: Look into the mirror.
Those who think it is OK to “register” and “vote” on the same day: Look into the mirror.
For those of you who see nothing wrong with a “provisional ballot”: Look into the mirror.
For all of those who think it is ok to have ballots in several languages, not all in English: Look into the mirror.
For those of you who didn’t demand that there be FULL disclosure of the monies coming into the NObama campaign- from all over the world, and from nations known to harbor terrorists: Look into the mirror.
For those of you who gave money or supported NObama out of a sense of “white guilt”: look into the mirror.
For those of you who were too young to realize that you were supporting an illegal alien in an empty suit: Look into the mirror.
For those of you who didn’t take seriously the facts that NObama got his Illinois opposition disqualified so he could run unopposed: Look into the mirror.

I could go on and on:
You need to LOOK INTO THE MIRROR..

I feel like a lonely duck on a pond in the wilderness, quacking away at the blue sky. I have railed against NObama from the very beginning. NObama cheated, lied, coherced, and played the arrogant , angry, all too slick guy from the first moment on the national stage.I was not then nor am I now crazy. I have been proven correct on everything I said.

While there might not be many of the above here on FR, we all know TOO MANY who didn’t address any of the problems I outlined above.....
