Hastings was once kicked out of office, I think. Rush should have a ball with this little tidbit. New Dachau? New Bergen-Belson?

I just fired off an email to my congressman. I’ve asked him to vote NO. And if it does pass I’ve encouraged him to vote to sever our ties with the United States.

I note that the bill specifically calls out the definitions of emergency and disaster from the Stafford Act. Stafford specifically deals with natural disasters (The Katrina mess was a mess because the governor did not understand Stafford, and the word Stafford was never ever mentioned by the press).
He does not mention civil insurrection, martial law, or other such nefarious things.
Remember the mess that the displaced Katrina people caused everywhere they went? They were put all over the place but mostly in neighborhoods. If this bill were in place, they would have been sent to some base that had lots of empty barracks.

is this real or is this typical whacko ranting from worldnutdaily? It depends who's in power. These facilities are designed to house people who are homeless from hurricanes or nuclear bombs in cities. hundreds of thousands of people who have no place to go.
Also useful for rounding up and incarcerating Freepers, people who listen to Rush/Hannity, Republicans, Christians, straights and people who have never traveled to France. Kind of a multi-purpose public facility, if you know what I mean...

They forgot the ovens and “showers”. Since Jewish people voted largely for Zero will somebody explain that—do they have a death wish?

“They forgot the ovens and showers. “
Yeah, few military facilities in the USA have those.

IMHO the following provision in the bill is the key.
(f) Cooperative Agreement for Joint Use of Existing Military Installations- If an existing military installation other than a closed military installation is designated as a national emergency center, not later than 180 days after the date of designation, the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of Defense shall enter into a cooperative agreement to provide for the establishment of the national emergency center.
This provision will allow BO and the socialists in Congress to close military bases consequently removing them from the military authority and thereby weakening the military, ending free speech and creating a stronger centralized form of government.
