Obama redefines "no lobbyists in the White House"
Fox News Live | 2/3/09 | Vanity

Robert "Pinata" Gibbs was beaten like an old rug again today at the latest Obama presser. I am actually beginning to feel sorry for this rumpled sad sack who continues to bring a nerf bat to a gun fight.

Among today's gems was a new explanation of how Obama could already have seventeen lobbyists working for his administration (revealed by Indian and British newspapers since American papers won't) after looking America in the eye during the campaign and giving us his solemn pledge that no lobbyist's feet would ever touch the floor in his White House. If I understood Gibbs, he explained that, well, what Obama REALLY meant was that no one who works for him and subsequently leaves to become a lobbyist will be allowed to again return to his White House staff, and besides, "key people" can't really be held to Obama's own standards because they are just too vital to solving our problems. I think. I counted 11 'uhs" during his answer, plus three grunts, two stutters, and one dangling prepositional phrase, so I can't be absolutely sure.

Regarding Daschle's withdrawing his name to be HHS Secretary, Gibbs insisted that Daschle made this decision himself. Reporters choked-back laughs.

Regarding most of Obama's nominees being revealed to be smarmy, cynical, wealthy tax cheats, Mr. Gibbs answered strongly by asserting that Obama believes his nominees are the best candidates and that such "little problems" as dishonesty and hypocrisy really shouldn't matter.

As before, the answer to all other questions about everything else was that Obama was creating the appropriate steps to address the question of determining the best courses of action in deciding how to address the problems, and that reporters were just being unreasonable and unfair to expect actual policy details from a sitting president.

Gibbs is well on his way to making Scott McClellan look competent by comparison.

I don’t feel a bit sorry for Gibbs (or for Zero).

Hannity’s not my favorite commentator, but Gibbs stonewalled him during an interview last fall by continually slandering him. What a POS!

They can run Gibbs (and his master) into the dirt for all I care.

Please link that for me, I'd love to read the story.

And don't feel sorry for any of these Hussein sycophants. They're not to be trusted in any environment. They'll cut you the second they have an advantage.

I'm already worried about what Holder is going to do. He got in office and the first thing he said was that the Justice Department would focus on "fairness". I didn't hear a damn word from him about enforcing LAW.

"That President Obama has waived his no-lobbyist rule 17 times in less than two weeks in office says everything that needs to be said about his commitment to reforming Washington."

"I wonder what the DU’ers have to say about these developments?"

Many (the naive and simpletons) are confused and incredulous that Mr. Clean/BO's hiring such stinkers and crooks, some are angry and feel betrayed, others are apologetic and blaming the "GOP" press. All are seeing that the 0ne is more of the same ol, same ol but not all have accepted that fact.

The only reason we've had any investigating going on is because zero's people haven't gotten a firm grip on the investigating agencies yet.

These revelations are about to come to a screeching halt, I'm thinkin’.
