The House Democratic Caucus spent more than $500,000 in taxpayer money over the past five years for its annual retreats at resorts in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

On Thursday, Democrats will head to the Kingsmill Resort and Spa in historic Williamsburg, Va., for the three-day planning powwow. The resort boasts multiple championship golf courses, a full-service spa and six restaurants.

Obama is irate enough to order bonus caps for companies using taxpayer bailout money for CEO's, and employee bonus' or those that use bailout money to recruit and retain talented executives but he has no such words or edicts for his own party's caucus that will spend taxpayer money for this crap.

Obama spends more than any other President on his inauguration parties, and celebrates the raping of taxpayers by offering 100 dollar per pound waygu steak and Grey Goose Martini's for him and his Democrat congress buddies that created this rediculous government shopping spree but he shares no contempt for this junket?

Obama and the Democrats not credible and not good stewards of the taxpayers money.

“The House Democratic Caucus spent more than $500,000 in taxpayer money over the past five years...”

The Dems were only in control of the House for three of the five years. How did the Repubs, including Pres Bush, give into this stupidity or did they get an equal share?!??!

Better idea: Nancy could invite everyone over for a weinie roast in her back yard. Would save half a mil.

Look on the bright side. It’s only 1/10 of a cent from everyone that will be out of work a month from now.

First, the problems in the economy have not surfaced until the Democrats won control of Congress in 2006 so if they were doing these junkets in years prior it still would be wrong but I would not be so cynical about it.

The point, unless you missed it, is the pure Hypocrisy of Obama calling out how private companies use money. Will he be calling on Oprah next to limit her obvious excesses? I don’t think so, she supports the idiot.

Or do you prefer Socialist government over Free Enterprise Capitalism?

“The resort boasts multiple championship golf courses”

If I happened to be on that course when Durbin and Frank and Dodd and the rest of those bumbling idiots were playing I would line up right at their groups and drop a dozen balls or so and fire away...it would be well worth getting kicked off for hitting into them.
I’m fairly accurate when I want to be :)

“do you prefer Socialist government over Free Enterprise Capitalism?”
______________

Free Enterprise Capitalists should not be coming to the government begging for bailouts. If they do, the gov’t is smart to attach strings to the cash.

In my hometown when the homeless go to the Oliver Gospel Mission, in order to get a meal and a bed, they must listen to a sermon and be sober when they walk in.

When a welfare mother signs up for gov’t housing she can be required to pass drug screens and keep squatters from living in the dwelling.

If we answer a nations plea for aid we can demand specific policies be met.

Same when business’s come begging, they must adhere to demands or go elsewhere for the bucks.

Free Enterprise Capitalists should not be coming to the government begging for bailouts.

That depends - if it was government mandates and regulations that caused economic issues for the enterprise, then they have every right to seek redress for their government-caused expenses. Of course, that should be done through the court system but since that system is pretty left-wing these days, the odds of just compensation are nil.

That said, I was totally against the first bailout just as I am against this so-called bailout.
