'We're looking at a scenario where there's no more agriculture in California,' Steven Chu says. He sees education as a means to combat threat.
Reporting from Washington -- California's farms and vineyards could vanish by the end of the century, and its major cities could be in jeopardy, if Americans do not act to slow the advance of global warming, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu said Tuesday.

Wow and I thought GW Bush was the “fearmonger.”
It seems like they’ve really had to ratchet up the hysteria as folks start to become skeptical of some of these claims.
Between Obama’s “catastrophe” if we don’t spend $1T to this - it’s got to be hard for ordinary folks to take them seriously. I wonder if they’re even aware of how this chips away at their credibility.

What a freaking nimrod! Here in the northeast, we are experiencing record lows, the coldest winter in at least 15 years and he's worried about global warming?
About one millenium ago, there was actual global warming. They were growing grapes in Newfoundland, hence the name Vinland. The vikings had turned from raiding and pillaging to exploring and civilizing. Then those damned capitalists started the little ice age with their steam engines and light bulbs! < / sarcasm >

LOL!! Just what Big-0 needs--his nutter energy secretary showing the world that not all of Big-0's cabinet are corrupt--some are just frickin' nuts! I'd love to hear the phone call to Chu:
"Hey, ya' think you could turn around and start rowing with the rest of us?!! Sit down and STFU, d-bag!"

'We're looking at a scenario where there's no more agriculture in California,' Steven Chu says. He sees education as a means to combat threat. Doesn't matter. Alarmist before this dude predicted that overpopulation would end the world as we know before the end of the 20th century. So, it's already too late to worry about this guy's predictions for the end of the 21st century.

Er, the previous article entitled “obama tested” said Korea was maybe, kinda, gonna lob a missile at the US or Japan. If it get to the US California is first on the list and so may not need to worry about global warming or cooling or anything else. Just a thought.

Steven Chu says. He sees education as a means to combat threat. hmmmm...so did many others in history who wanted to overthrow sensible people by indoctrinating the children. Modern day liberals share a lot of the basic tenants on "changing" countries, and in this case the world, by taking the innocence of children and making a lie their belief system. Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot...the list goes on, only this comes off as slicker and smoother than those guys.
