"I think you need to cut your losses," former Rep. Tom Davis, a Republican from Virginia and ex-chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, told USA Today. "Frankly, I think we'll see charges in the Clemens case and they will come around pretty quickly. Lying under oath is serious. It's not like A-Rod lying to Katie Couric in an interview. When you're under oath, you have to tell the truth."
Davis teamed with Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., then-chairman of the committee, to refer Clemens' alleged false testimony about the use of steroids to the Department of Justice. They also referred Tejada's case for investigation.
Davis said now that Tejada has been charged, it's clear to him that the U.S. Attorney's Office is taking the referrals seriously, a sentiment echoed by the attorneys for Clemens' accuser, former trainer Brian McNamee.
"I don't think it bodes well for Roger," said Earl Ward, the defense attorney for McNamee, who told federal investigators that he injected Clemens with steroids and human growth hormone multiple times from 1998 through 2001 and possibly 2002. "How can they go after Barry Bonds and Miguel Tejada and not indict Roger Clemens?"
Another of McNamee's attorneys, Richard Emery, agreed that the Tejada charge was bad news for Clemens.
"It means they're hot on the trail and working hard on both cases," said Emery. "That means Clemens is in harm's way. The prosecutors are acting as professionally and aggressively as they can."

John F. Kerry committed an act of treason when he lied to Congress about “warcrimes” he “witnessed” and “participated” in. It was a lie. He knows it was a lie. And now says it was the words of an angry young man (himself) and that he does not stand by the term “warcrimes”.
It was an effort to demoralize the troops, the war effort, support for the war, and embolden the enemy. TREASON. A crime defined in our very Constitution.

I am so sick of the “steroids drama”. Just have two “eras”, pre-steroids and steroids, and arrange records accordingly. But to deny the Hall of Fame to McGwire or Rodriguez is ridiculous. Do people really think that if A-Rod didn’t have steroids in 2003, he would have hit 10 HRs and 75 RBI? McGwire would still have hit 45+ HR without steroids. These are Hall #s. And put Pete rose in the Hall already. Who cares if he is a supreme creep. You can’t tell the history of baseball without him.
So Tejada will be charged, but Charlie Rangel won’t?
