While burning down the houses of The Rich surely decreases the disparity between The Rich and The Poor, it does nothing to improve the lot of The Poor, and in fact reduces the chance that The Poor will find jobs, houses, and opportunities to move up into.

No, on Guadaloupe, the blacks probably weren’t much of anything. I’d imagine that there are Muslims there, but they are probably East Asians, who seem to be on all the islands as merchants, etc.
This was stirred up by the socialists and the socialist labor unions.
