So...is or is not al-Marri a citizen? One of these two sources is botched.

According to CBS, June 23, 2003, al-Marri is a citizen of Qatar, not the US.
So AP, as is their frequent practice, probably got their Bush-hating America-despising prejudices in the way of doing their job.
