(Pakistan's) ISI tells LET, Hizbollah to Attack India

Pakistani authorities have given an ultimatum to Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Hizb-ul Mujahideen terror camps in Meerpur and Muzaffarabad, in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, to restart anti-India activities and push trained operatives into India, intelligence sources told this newspaper. They have been given one month to carry out terror acts or face closure.

Intelligence sources claimed that Pakistan’s ISI area commander, one Col. Musa, called a meeting of zonal heads of the LeT and Hizb in Rawalkot, PoK, on February 13 and instructed them to send trained operatives of defunct camps into India.

"The ISI has told all defunct terror camps in Meerpur and Muzaffarabad that it is not possible for the Pakistani authorities to provide them financial assistance without any concrete results. Col. Musa passed this on to all terror camp zonal heads. He also gave them one month," claimed a senior official of an intelligence agency.

The official added, "As per the latest intelligence inputs, most of the trained operatives, who belong to defunct terror camps in PoK, are from Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla and Kupwara districts of Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of operatives have even settled in PoK. They have been told either to indulge in terror activities or go back to J&K."

There are reports that the Hizb has four terror camps in PoK. One such camp has 25 rooms and 35 tents and can house over 250 members. "Currently, there are only 70 militants," claimed the official. The second, the Garhi Habibullah camp, is a larger camp, there are 80 militants living there. The Boi camp, which can hold 150 members, now has 35 members, he claimed.

There are also reports that some of the operatives, who do not want to indulge in terror activities, are coming back to Kashmir on their own, the official said.

This is the first media report of a direct Pakistan ISI connection to terrorists attacking India.

While it is considered an open secret among the Paki ISI, there have been few other media reports.

There is two prior independent confirmations of the activities of Colonel Musa:

Eric Margolis' book - WAR AT THE TOP OF THE WORLD: he asks, Colonel Musa, the Pakistani commander in Siachen, "Do you prefer to fight mountains, hills or lowlands?' 'My dear Eric, I like to fight wherever there are Indians,' he exclaimed, 'throwing back his head and roaring with laughter." "Musa, he writes, "was a true mujahid, or soldier of Allah... defending Islam anywhere it was attacked by kufir, unbelievers". (http://www.india-today.com/itoday/20010827/books3.shtml)

And: "We were trained by the ISI at Kotli Camp" (http://www.jammu-kashmir.com/archives/archives2002/kashmir20020601c.html)

"Colonel Musa of the Special Operations intelligence unit of ISI and his two officers, Major Umar and Captain Hussan, supervised the training." An excerpt that has been previously reported from 2002.

Pakistan has just signed its own death warrant.

It will not be a nation much longer.

Hizb-ul Mujahideen is not to be confused with the Lebanese, Iran-backed Hezbollah or “Hizbollah” as this story’s title states.

If this article is a hoax, it is well researched. The information on the training camps in Kashmir is credible and Colonel Musa of the ISI is known and ISI's involvement with terrorists is widely believed.

Indian press has been known to be led by RAW (India's CIA) in the past.

The LET is believed responsible for Mumbai. This article, if true, ties the ISI to the LET and to Mumbai by association, at least.

Why would it be a hoax.

Only the blind or the truly well self deluded still believe that jihadis aren’t and run sponsored by the Pakistani Military and the ISI.

Pakistani jihadi groups, even the ones killing Americans in Afghanistan have always been run by the Pakistani Army.

The LeT is simply Pak Army in mufti.

True, the Hizb’ Allah (Party of God) name is widely used by jihadists. The Kashmir/Paki Hizb’Allah is widely known to be a weapons training camp for Al Qaeda and Taliban operatives. They are the most openly operated jihadist terror camps in the world.

Agreed, I believe the report. ISI runs a shadow military in Pakistan and will be our biggest organized enemy for years to come.

They aren’t really a shadow or rogue operation.

They are a part and parcel of the Foreign Policy establishment elites of Pakistan, and reflect their perceived strategic needs.

For instance, there is no daylight between the so called US friendlies, quaintly referred to as secularists, and the various jihadi flavors when it comes to the attitude towards Kashmir and India, or towards the larger jihad and it’s justification, for that matter.

As far as for years to come, I certainly hope not ;>>

Hillary should have Obama launch missiles at a training camp, that will stop them, just like Bill did

The optimist: This is leaked as the Pakistani military want to get rid of the uncontrollable fundamentalists, but do not want to do it themselves as they might have domestic problem if they do , i.e. they will inform India of all the insurgents and hope that they will take care of them.

The realist: This is the true intention of the ISI.

The mentalist: As Pakistan is heading for a civil war nobody knows what to do.

>>nobody knows what to do.

The Indian Army would LOVE for the Taliban to move into Islamabad and/or Kashmir.

It would force the issue, the big question being how many Army Corps would fight with the jihadis.

The other unknown is how many midlevel officers would disobey their brass and fight with the jihadis.

It’s time.
