Mitt Romney: Democrats' 'Pet Liberal Projects' Will Bankrupt Nation
NewsMax.com ^ | 03-01-09 | Jim Meyers

Former Massachusetts Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney tells Newsmax that the Democrats’ massive stimulus package is laden with “pet liberal projects” that won’t help the economy at all.

He also asserts that President Barack Obama is actually hurting the economy in two ways — and said Republicans in the Senate are close to having “no voice whatsoever.”

That’s just it; it isn’t the pet projects that are going to destroy us. It’s the entire concept of a stimulus bill. It’s the idea that the government needs to run up deficits and spend more and more. The pet projects are wrong and unconstitutional to be sure, but they aren’t the bigger picture.

Ultimately these bills are largely hundred and even thousands of “small” pet projects. Entitlements are the killer though. Discretionary spending is very much growing.

It's not like I don't agree with their assessment of the demonrats and the schemes against America, but the more I hear about or read about the supposed republican leaders, the more I like Ron Paul...foreign policy and everything else...I can't believe I said that.

Would it be 'hate' to say Romney seems a tad hypocritical?

Carpetbagger-chameleon, "Pillsbury’s dough-Boy", DNC-pandering, RINO Mitt "the-Myth" Romney
gleefully installs the biggest liberal pet project in history which is HillaryCARE=RomneyCARE
which Romney FORCED upon Massachusetts taxpayers without a public vote (the Romney way(TM).

No, not Romney. The real conservatives say so. And the courage they showed by sitting the election out should not be in vain. We should be busy learning the lesson they thought America needed to learn.

I'd rather have that idiot cross dressing rino on my team than the weak and self deluding ego-cons.

GOP_Lady, it is your thread which is spam.

It is wrong to misidentify a post which notes that Romney is hypocritical,
and gives evidence of such, as 'spam'.

Your childish behavior is as typical for you as your falsehoods.

Mitt ‘I like mandates, mandates work’ Romney, pointing the finger at government pork? Perhaps he’s had too much RomneyCare, or something, as it obviously sounds like he’s reinventing himself. Rudy McRomney 2.0.

Someone wake me when this tired act has gotten off the stage, please? Least Schwarzenegger never signed gay marriage into law...
