I cannot overemphasize to anyone the importance of the Appleseed Project.

The Appleseed Project isn’t just about learning to be the best shot in your town. It’s about taking your talk and turning it into action.

After joining the RWVA (who puts on the Appleseeds), my wife and I had some long talks about what we could do. After a year, my wife is on a first name basis with our Representative and I’m going into the National Guard. It’s turned talk and ideas into action.

I'm in the process of rounding up several friends to attend one of these events. Looks like a CMP Garand "Clinic" writ large. Historically large, maybe.

In another thread, the idea of regional or chapter-based FR rifle matches was suggested. IIRC, JimRob was supportive of the idea. I'll have to look up that thread and see if anyone has developed the idea further.

Perhaps we could merge that idea into the Appleseed schedule, assembling FR shooters into teams or squads at the Appleseed events.

Seems like too good an opportunity to let slip by. Comments?
