I don't know how many O supporters said to me, "He's going to stop the war!".
My answer was always...ummm nooooo he's not. Not a chance.
Anyone who thought he would actually stop the war is gullible to the point of mental illness.
It's just like all the rhetoric the dems raised about wire tapping. And then when forced to vote on it....

The democrats wanted to force Bush to retreat but they have no intent of doing so themselves and getting saddled with it.

I feel its a shame that since President Obama has been elected, all talk and speaking out against the war has stopped, SAL President Matthew Adam Jeffers said. Its a shame because I voted for this guy and, like, I'm in college and all, dude, so I know what I'm like doing, ya know?? I mean, it's like I'm here studying like, you know, college stuff and all, so I'm up on all the issues and, like, Obama, he promised to get us out of the war on, like, the first day of his presidency and that's been like a year or two since the election! This Obama dude is no better than Bush! What a bummer, man!

Stop the war(s)? Those people are just plain stupid if they a) believed he'd keep a campaign promise, b) was using the war as anything but a campaign issue to get votes, c) think he really gives a rat's backside about the Military or the people in those Countries.
Obama and crew can't be bothered with a little thing like two shooting wars. No, they are more concerned with re-shaping America into a socialist nightmare. We're fighting on the wrong fronts.

Where are the anti-war protestors? Why the silence?
Did they really mean it when they said “Support our troops, bring them home”? Or were they lying?
Where is the media sabotage of our efforts against terrorists that hade become so prevalent in the last six years?

It’s very nice.
I did not attend the speech (duh) but there’s a picture and it looks like maybe 12 people turned out.
We have the university populated by the typical nutcases, fruitcakes and blithering idiots.
But, the vast majority of folks here are normal Americans.

You mean you didn’t get the memo about absolutely zzzzzzzzzzzeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrooooooooo news stories running about Iraq and how horrible the war is and/or is going and how the US is killing everyone and everything in sight? Or that we bomb babies and kill civilians and laugh all the while?
You say it was a put up job and that Gitmo is humane?
Now why d’ya spose the ‘media’ would’ve said all that and spent all those years trashing the US and our fighting forces?
You don’t want Raptors or new generation helicopters, and you’re willing to scrap missile defense? You say Yucca Mtn is gone, too? What exactly is our technological advantage?
Who’s doin’ this, d’ya spose? Who would do this and WHY?

Oh, Lord - Justin Raimondo still trying to squint hard enough to see Iraq as a defeat. Had he his way we'd have the same "peace" in Afghanistan we had when the Taliban were in control, including the sanctuary that al-Qaeda had before this whole thing began in a flaming holocaust in New York City.
Raimondo was used by the Democratic party like the last two sheets of toilet paper on the roll and he's still whimpering about what they owe the anti-war side. Good luck collecting, Justin. Bambi - that'd be General Bambi to us - has his position staked out and it's to conduct a war better than Bush, the "right" war, heaven help us, prosecuted under the usual sanctimonious liberal platitudes. I don't know what worries me more - peace creeps like Raimondo who are happy to see 25 million people enslaved so long as he can keep his own lily-white hands clean, or amateurs like Obama who have no trouble second-guessing the pros but every difficulty in backing down from it. I don't have a good feeling about this.

Hey, Adam Jeffers, you moron. Here’s some words of wisdom for you, direct from GWB: ‘Fool me once, shame on shame on you. Fool me you can’t get fooled again.’

Oh I too think it is just awful that Cindy Shehan isn’t camped out in Chicago on while they are home or that the code pinkos aren’t still protesting at the WH. The wars are still going on, where are they? :>
