If the FDIC becomes insolvent in the six months (or in anticipation that it might) as Bair and declared and people begin really moving to cash only in earnest, causing major bank runs, would that be enough to send AIG under and so cause a major institution default on derivatives and so start the beginning of the end?
How likely is it? Any over/under?
