I am sure he is a non political guy.

You mean you're sure that his position is not a political appointment.

Is this something to seriously worry about. A clerk?

There appears to be some evidence that he may be acting like a Praetorian guard without the knowledge of the judges above him of what he and his crew are doing.

If the Supreme Court judges do not observe the work being done under them in the supervisory position, then they are at risk like mushrooms who can be feed crap and kept in the dark.

although I have never heard of such a thing, it would be pretty clever for a group with an agenda to infiltrate the SCOTUS with a “civil service clerk,” or a law clerk although I think they may assigned to one justice or another. By worming himself into the right position he could control that which comes before the justices.

I don’t know, just wondering with mouse in hand???
