NASA managers said Saturday that space shuttle Discovery is ready for Sundays launch opportunity as repairs on a leaking gaseous hydrogen vent line are moving along smoothly.
I think were in really good shape, said Mike Moses, chairman of the Mission Management Team that reviewed the shuttles readiness.
Mike Leinbach, shuttle launch director, said the work to replace a suspect quick disconnect assembly on the launch pad is about three hours behind schedule, but that will not delay the countdown. Leak checks will be performed later tonight.
We feel really good and were really excited about launching tomorrow, Leinbach said.
The weather forecast continues to call for an 80 percent chance of acceptable conditions, said Kathy Winters, shuttle weather officer.
Launch controllers will begin preparing to pump fuel and oxygen into the external tank Sunday at 10:18 a.m. EDT. Launch time is 7:43 p.m.

But what I don't understand is why doesn't this NASA press release have anything about global warming or evolution?
Surely people might start disbelieving in global warming & evolution unless NASA puts something about them in every press release?
Probably it is carrying a satellite to track global warming & evolution. Maybe they just expect people to implicitly realize that now
Reag against the machine vid has cool pictures of launches.

I'll be watching from my outdoor perch on Florida's gulf coast. We always get spectacular views of the night launches even though the blast-off is on the opposite coast.
Thanks for posting the notice. I was unsure of the time. I've set my alarm clock as I don't want to miss the show.

No. I just got in the house and used the link above as I guess it’s already happened!!! Mrs. Wasp keeps asking if the female announcer’s voice she hears on the link is that crazy woman that drove from TX to FL wearing diapers, or not. Ha Ha Ha

Got the best shot I've been able to get of a shuttle launch to date by using my telescope from across the indian river.
