“...At what exact point, then, should one resist the
communists?...”
“How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: what
would things have been like if every Security operative, when he
went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether
he would return alive and had to say good bye to his family?
“Or if during periods of mass arrests people had not simply
sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang on the
downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had
understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the
downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes,
hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand...the Organs
(police) would very quickly have suffered a shortage of
officers...and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the
cursed machine would have ground to a halt.”

Believe me - I fear more the One Who can kill body and soul than I will ever fear the ones who can only kill the body. I am the resistance.

Excellent post. I am not a bold person by nature. But I will not let history repeat itself-not here-not now-not in MY America! I had always wondered why the Jews allowed the Holocaust to happen without fighting back. But now I think it is because they could not wrap their minds around what was really happening. But, we know better now. We have seen the past. So, yes, I may be afraid, (57 year old grandma)but I will fight. It wasn’t until the Jewish people started fighting back in the Warsaw ghetto that they brought attention to the rest of the world (including America) that they received help from others. God Bless America.
