U.S. Rep. Bill Posey

A new member of Congress arrived in Washington to a flood of questions from his constituency about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president: Was he really born in the United States, and was he qualified under the Constitution's requirement that the office be occupied only by a "natural born" citizen?

So U.S. Rep. Bill Posey did what most congressmen would do regarding a subject of grave concern to their voters: He proposed a bill that would require future presidential candidates to document their eligibility. And that has earned him scorn and ridicule.

"What you should do is stop embarrassing yourself and take the Reynolds Wrap off your head," MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann suggested to Posey.

I called Bill Posey, my congressional representative here in Florida's 15th, this morning to tell him that I appreciate and support his efforts to prevent us from having to go through another episode like this one where we don't know for sure that the man who occupies the White House does so under deceptive means, and refuses to give closure and comfort to Americans by producing his records, resolving the matter once and for all.

Posey is taking some heat for filing a bill requiring future Oval Office candidates to prove their citizenship with a birth certificate and other documentation. (The crap is mostly coming from arrogant leftist goon Hemorrhoid Olbermann, the self anointed expert and his ilk. Olbermann, by the way, spent part of his weekend ripping into Glenn Beck).

But the constituent calls Posey's getting at his District and Washington offices are running about 70/30 in favor of HR 1503.

Here's what you can do. Call your Rep and tell him or her to co-sponsor Posey's bill. (Phone numbers can be accessed by scrolling down and clicking the photo of the US Capitol at right --->).

Several House Reps are quietly coming together to add their names to the bill, fully aware of the vitriolic backlash they'll get from the Obamagoons. Unlike Bill Posey, they have to hold each other's hands before taking the plunge into the toxic media cesspool. So YOU must also contact YOUR rep and apply the pressure. Make them feel the pain from your side. Push back against the leftist peer pressure they're getting. Prop them up with your support. Let them know you'll stand with them, you've "got their six".

Read the article below and get up to date. Send the article (or this post) to your Representative with a short note:

Dear Rep. Blankety Blank:

Please sign on as a co-sponsor to HR 1503. Your action in this regard is considered part of your ongoing job performance and will be evaluated at re-election time. Do the right thing for our Country and earn a checkmark in the "plus" column on my "Do I Re-Elect You?" checklist. Co-sign the Bill and do the right thing for America.

Very sincerely, YOUR BOSS, The Taxpayer who pays your salary and perks, and sent you to Washington to represent me and uphold the Constitution, no ifs, ands or buts.

And, again, “fight the powers that be”. Get it? From a song used in the movie “Do the Right Thing”. I know, Spike Lee is about as “anti-conservative” and as “pro-jerk” as one could possibly be.

Olbermann is apparently hostile to the Constitution.

It makes me sick to see so many republicans saying Obama is eligible because Snopes or Factcheck said so. Is it any wonder this country is so screwed up? We have idiots running the show.

We all just want proof, no matter what the actual outcome is! What’s so difficult about this? If Obama really has nothing to hide, then what is he really hiding?
