It’s quite complicated. She is asking the Supremes to re-consider Lightfoot vs Bowen and at the same time asking them to force production of documents related to the Easterling vs Obama case. In short, it looks like Lightfoot vs Bowen was sabotaged and did not reach Roberts or Scalia for review. She has gotten the ear of Roberts and Scalia who both said they would like to know more. (I’m not sure where this currently sits in the formal protocol). She is using this opportunity to ask SCOTUS to break down a barrier that has been raised by the Attorney General in the Easterling vs Obama case.
