So did the OJ Simpson acquittal. It happens every day. Perhaps the best analogy is the acquittal in the trial of Bill Clinton in impeachment. It served neither truth nor justice. It was a political act. My point is the political considerations are not limited to non-judicial bodies.

I do not applaud the court for pusillanimity. My point was that the court, once it decides that it dare not loose forces it cannot control, probably will not take the case in the first place and it certainly will not take the case merely to write dicta.

I understand you. Nor do I applaud.

The least I can do is to say the court has erred, both morally and legally, in a circumstance of immeasurable severity.
