i don’t know - who is paying for it? If its private money they should name it so they can rent it and make a profit.
If its a government project without the intent to make a profit that’s different.
When the “arts and croissants” crowd got involved, the project became a politically correct endorsement of the hate America mindset.
And don't get me started on the Muslim crescent in Pennsylvania.
I really don’t have a problem with this at all. In fact, while I can sympathize with the families of all the 9/11 victims, I’ve really come to resent their unreasonable intrusion into every minute aspect of the Ground Zero redevelopment.
Sorry, but this is just one more example of how political correctness runs everything about this country now. You will NEVER convince me that the word "freedom" would really cause anyone not to rent a floor or an office or whatever in a building. If the word "freedom" is offensive to someone, they're the kind of tenant you don't want.
This is how PC works: It generates issues where no tangible examples even exist. Or it creates a situation that affects millions because of the opinion of some lone crackpot. PC is an insidious evil.

exactly... and to me, the name--Freedom Tower--sounds like a government project or a ride at a patriotic-themed amusement park... it think it's an awful-sounding name...
The story is that the Chinese won’t buy any luxury suites until the word “Freedom” is removed.
