AP is still blaming George Bush for repudiating Kyoto. It was a rotten treaty, chiefly designed to take American money and ship it to the third world—to accomplish nothing.

When Al Gore brought it back, the Senate voted it down, 95-5. Clinton had more sense than to try to push it any further, so it was never ratified.

But things have gotten crazy enough now so we might just sign it. If so, it will be The End Of The World As We Know It. Trillions of dollars to bloat the UN bureaucracy beyond its wildest dreams. Money we don’t have.

And again I ask, where are the Republicans running ads on things like this? They should be out there doing a media blitz via ads to let the average non-thinking American know, in words they’ll understand, that this will cost them.
