17th Amendment.
Yep, that’s my personal pick for worst amendment and directly leading to the problems we have today. The Senate was meant to be representation for each state, as the people have the House. They are a rogue body, a house of lords. They answer to no one, not the people who vote for them and especially not the states they are supposed to represent.
Agreed; the 17th Amendment has been a disaster. Next worst is the 16th.
They should still require that you own property, and pay taxes in order to vote. Too many freeloaders electing the politician who promises the most free stuff.
