U.S. Supreme Court: Mumia Abu-Jamal Verdict Stands
Mumia Abu-Jamal has lost his bid for a new trial in the killing of a Philadelphia police officer in 1981.
The Supreme Court said Monday it will not take up Abu-Jamal's claims that prosecutors improperly excluded blacks from the jury that convicted him of murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.
The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia upheld Abu-Jamal's conviction but held his death sentence invalid. The appeals court said it would not second-guess state court rulings rejecting Abu-Jamal's claims of bias in the composition of the jury.
The high court considered only the conviction. The state has separately asked the court to reinstate the death sentence, but the justices have not acted on that request.

I’d pay to be allowed to “flip the switch.”
They seemed to have left out the fact that Mumia was/is a revolutionary communist/writer. How shocking that the head-up-their-butt media fails once again to mention the commie angle.

Maybe he can get a Presidential pardon.
Could a possible pardon be in the cards?

>>? Id pay to be allowed to flip the switch.
When I was in law school, I had a professor who told a story during a “voir dire” lesson (jury questioning). In Texas capital murder cases, the DA will always ask whether a juror would be open to administering the death penalty in the event of a guitly verdict.
In one case, a juror answered, “Well, I’d have to get in touch with my wife. But, so long as we could work around my work schedule — I suppose I could.” The dude actually wanted to throw the switch.
Needless to say, the defense attorney dismissed that particular juror.

Mumia stood over Danny Faulkner, the cop he murdered and fired shots into him after he (Faulkner) was already on the ground. Mumia was so arrogant that he refused to speak in his own defense at his trial. He was a supporter of a bizaare cult and at the time I remember thinking that Mumia had become insane.
He went to prison and wrote a book claiming to be innocent. Then the Hollywood lefties got involved. Ed Asner, Mike Farrel, Danny Glover and the rest of those leftist creeps. Mumia Abu Jamal, (Wesley Cook) should have been dead a long time ago. He should have been executed.
I am very happy that the Supreme Court will not hear anything else from Mumia. This case is a perfect example of how low liberals really are. When Ed Asner was askewhether he had rad the transcript of the trial, he said that he hadn’t. He went on to say that he didn’t need to because he was against the death penelty.
Scum like him never seem to understand that the people they are defending gave a death sentence to their victims without benefit of trial and personally carried out the execution. Leftists are truly insane. Insane and contemptable.
Reminds me of an on-air interview I heard on a New York City radio station about 10-15 years ago. The New York host was conducting an on-air "debate" about capital punishment (it was big issue in New York State at the time). He wanted to get some expert input from people who were familiar with legal issues surrounding the death penalty in states where it was being used at the time. He had on two telephone guests who were supposed to be arguing the opposite side of the issue.
One guy was a lawyer from Georgia or South Carolina, while the other was a lawyer from Alabama.
The first guy gets on and goes through a series of rational arguments in favor of the death penalty, and its applicability to New York State.
The next guy gets on and presents his "arguments" against the first one, but as he goes through his monologue it sounds like he is making all the same points as the first one.
The host finally interrupted him:
"Wait a minute," he said, "You're making almost the same arguments that the first lawyer made. I thought we brought you on here to make legal arguments against the death penalty."
There was a deafening pause for a few moments, then the second guy let out an embarrassed laugh and explained in his slow Southern drawl:
"I'm sorry, sir -- there must have been some confusion here. I was told this was going to be a debate about lethal injection in New York State, not the death penalty in general . . . and that I'd be on the air arguing against your proposed method of execution. I have no problem with executing convicted murderers at all, sir . . . I just think we oughta set them on fire instead of putting them to sleep peacefully as if they were sick animals."
I was laughing so hard at that one, I almost drove off the road. LOL.
Now that is a funny story.
Excellent news. Now, let’s get a rope and a sturdy tree branch and bring some justice to this P.O.S.
