President Barack Obama made an unannounced visit to Iraq Tuesday During the campaign season, Obama visited Iraq on a multistop overseas trip.
That trip also included stops in Afghanistan, Jordan, Israel, Germany, France and the United Kingdom. Obama's visit to Iraq was a surprise stop at the end of his first overseas trip as president. Turkey was the last scheduled stop on the president's tour abroad.
There, he held a joint news conference with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and addressed the Turkish parliament. The stop marked Obama's first presidential visit to a Muslim country.

Are all the arrogant soldiers happy to see him? Are there pictures of them begging for his autograph?

Who was more suprised at the stop in Iraq? The soldiers or Obambi?

No doubt they will find some troops to smile and wave.
Of all the annoying, offensive things 0bama does, I get most upset when he “visits” military people, because everything about everything he does and says is insulting to the troops, and I cannot believe that his motive in being in their presence is anything but self-serving.
I feel the same way. Makes me sad and sick at the same time.

You are right this Muslim does noting unless it serves him..
My husband is retired military and I can bet we know what these service men thought of his surprise visit..It was not a surprise, the military was informed ahead of time so they could get at least a few men and women for a photo opt with BO..
When I was in AIT at Ft. Leonard Wood in 1995, they had the Sec. of Defense (the one before Cohen) come through (I think to look at the Haitians being trained as policemen we had there at the time). We were under severe penalty to NOT badmouth Clinton. When he rolled through our class (I was training to be a 51-Tango), the only one he spoke to was a Jamaican Sailor who was in our class.
It tells me that they these fine men were made to sit for that picture including the black guys..None seem happy at all..No matter how the politicians try to make things seem all racist these men are brothers and all feel the same about this skunk of a president..If they clapped then the officers made them..have to follow orders you know..
We are retied military in for 21 years and we know when our boys are not happy..I say we because if a woman is married to a military man she is as much a part of that as her husband..I was fortunate to go all over the world with my husband and meet so many of these wonderful boys and girls..
Those Marines don’t look too impressed with “The” Osablama.
When bubba visited an overseas base (forget exactly where) they penned in the troops after disarming them.
And it wasn’t easy finding troops willing to be props.
"We'd rather scrubbing latrines rather than be stuck in here listening to this clown."
Obama's just meeting with derisive soldiers. His teleprompter didn't have time to meet with arrogant soldiers.
Whenever Presidents Reagan and the Bushes visited the troops, the soldiers were all elated to hang around them and be with them. With Clinton and Obama, they all stand at attention or Parade Rest.

These guys are working their butts off just to stay awake. I feel your pain, men! Been there, done that!
