And as long as we are going to be going with “guilt by association” what are we as Christians supposed to think of these statements by Hitler?

And, I am not sure that we are to think anything of the statements you mentioned. Our guilt by association lies with the association we have with Jesus Christ. The writings of a madman such as Hitler are irrelevant to that relationship.
Ummmm.... that he hijacked Christianity just like he exploited anything and everything else, because he understood Germany was a Catholic country for the most part?
