ANDREA TANTAROS: Tea Parties Will Bring America’s Outrage to a Full Boil
By Andrea Tantaros

As tax day approaches there is a crescendo growing across America in the form of organized protests, also known as tea parties, and the noise is on a path to becoming deafening. Thousands of rallies are planned across the country; one in every single congressional district and larger gatherings slated for cities like New York, Sacramento and Atlanta which hope to boast an upwards of 20,000 participants.

The message is simple: repeal the pork, cut taxes and cut spending. But there is much more at stake than the money. The impact these actions will have on our culture is key.

Those who discount the frustration and fury across America should so do at their own peril, particularly incumbents who voted for the Obama budget. This time anger is being transformed into action. Each person who participates in a Tax Day Tea Party is being asked to organize a group of friends, family and neighbors. These groups will be asked to develop a consensus around two candidates, a fiscally responsible Democrat and Republican that they can unite behind to support in 2010 to unseat their big spending representative.

Though many on the far left continue to ignore or downplay the rage claiming that these gatherings are only for conservatives, all evidence is to the contrary.

**SNIP**

The culmination of a resistance movement is more than brewing; the tea parties will bring the outrage to a full boil. Though the tea might steep on Wednesday, the battle to protect our nation from socialism’s effect on our culture and our American exceptionalism has just begun. Grab your Earl Grey, it must be stopped.

Why isn’t the Republican Party capitalizing on this?

All these Tea Parties may bring things to a boil. However, Obama doesn’t care. His objective it to socialize the US and all the protests in the world will not deter him.

Anymore I have no argument with your statement. Although the tea parties are geared to non-partisanship most people attending them lean conservative.

Just as the unrestrainable unwinding of infinitely scaled and fraudulently derived derivatives begins, opposition of the formerly sleeping middle class with displeasure to the economic issues and their derivation along with increasingly recognized ‘liberal’ excesses accelerating without rational governance is gathering unstoppable momentum and has ‘left the station’ and will be unstoppable. It is necessary that the Republican Party cope with reality as the other party cannot. WIll the REPUBLICANS rise to the occasion. The Dems have chosen their leader...he is running with the goat skin as in the Afganistani national game...will the Republicans produce a champion?

My brother and I are attending TWO Tea Parties. Louisville, KY 11-1:00 then down to E-Town for 4-6. Working on our signs now.

I believe this is our last chance to arouse the sleeping citizenry. I am very much afraid that if this fizzles, we will be steamrolled by the Fascists.

The Chicago Tea Party organizers rejected Michael Steele’s request for a few minutes on stage to speak, told him to listen to We The People instead.

In our county the Republican Party IS capitalizing on this...having a sign making party on Monday before....radio station doing major advertising/promotion....not sure I’m FOR the Pubbies support....haven’t decided yet....although our County leader seems very conservative....

The major concern I have is if the Republicans turn the event into an all about them affair.

These Tea Parties are about the people, not about the party.

The Party is supposed to be about the people, but since when has it been about other than themselves?

Have a Vaudeville type hook at the ready if the Republicans try to take over the show and prohibit the Conservative protestors from speaking their minds.

"Why isn’t the Republican Party capitalizing on this?" What Republican Party are you referring to? The one that foisted a RINO upon us? The one that cowers in the shadows of Capitol Hill? If you mean that one, they ain't gonna do nuttin!

No, the tea parties are supposed to be a protest against the runaway government spending. If people try to turn it into an anti-immigration, or anti abortion, or gay marriage, or whatever, they will open up the forum to be taken over by the disrupters. Stay focused and stay on topic. A scatter gun approach will not work here.

That’s right Eva. MY POINT in the posted commentary was to NOT let the Republicans turn it into their own Political Party rally, because it is for the people.

Perhaps I shoulda said...., or perhaps I shoulda said......

NO the point is for the people to get their point across about the purpose of the “Tea Party”. Isn’t that what it’s about?

Doesn’t that mean stay focused, don’t allow the Republicans, much less anybody else to turn it into a Political Party Rally, something other than the intended purpose?

Why isn’t the Republican Party capitalizing on this?

Because they enjoy getting their share of the spoils.

America's outrage needs to be brought to a full boil. Our rulers need to be made afraid of us. Fear is the only thing that will keep them in check and preserve us from further despotism.

Voting them out of office won't do it. Why they've already planned for that contingency, making deals which will keep them living high on the hog long after they've been removed from office. They've been busy trading us serfs for the IOUs that'll see them safely and wealthily through the end of their days.

No, we've got to fight the despotism where and when it starts: while they're in power. Anything less trims only branches while leaving the root intact. The Constitution, great and glorious law that it is, is being ignored because, like any other law, it's impotent without enforcement. We must find some way to reverse that situation or else throw in the towel.

As Madison said:

"In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions."

The proposed "auxiliary precautions" have been broken down by an ever-increasing appeal to popular democracy, in direct violation of the Constitution's letter and spirit. If this isn't brought to an end, we can all kiss our beloved America goodbye.
