Former Gov. Rod Blagojevichs camp was told last year that U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) would raise up to $5 million in campaign cash for the ex-governor if he was appointed to President Obamas U.S. Senate seat, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.
The overture came from at least two members of the local Indian community who approached the Blagojevich fund-raising team last fall, sources say.
Besides the $5 million to be raised by Jackson, the proposal also included another $1 million for Blagojevichs campaign fund that would come from Indian donors, sources say.
This is the first revelation that a proposal for the Jackson appointment involved an alleged promise that hed raise campaign cash for the ex-governor.
Also, the amount of money allegedly offered to Blagojevich is significantly higher than whats been reported so far.

The Rotten Apple doesn’t fall far....
Al Capone never really died — his spirit lives on in Chicago.
Yeah!!! and Obama is just as rotten as any apple in this barrel.
And now we have Capone’s spirit alive and well in the Caponobama White House.
I suspect $5 mil is no big deal for Jackson to dig up. Perhaps literally.
So it looks like Blago is starting to sing.
Interesting mention of the role of an Indian (”dot-head” if you will) crony/mafia. The latest D.C. government corruption scandal (”OCTO”) involves an Indian mayoral appointee, former D.C. Chief Technology Officer Vivek Kundra, padding his resume, skimming money and hiring other Indians...
I wonder if Jessie Jr, has sought the advise of his half sister, Jessie Srs “love child”
Regards,
Are you kidding me?
One look at that baby face and you can tell he will sing like a choir boy for a long time. He doesn't want his soap-on-a-rope.
Somewhere in a IL prison there is a big guy named BUBBA already making plans for the EX GOV . . . . . . .
Jesse Jackson has the title of “Prime Extortioner” down pat, doesn’t he?
