While the nation is awakening to the big spenders in Washington with over 2000 Tea Party protests across the nation, liberal "progressive" media is mounting its own anti-tea party movement online and on cable news.
Appearing of Fox, ThinkProgress' Faiz Shakir accused the network of promoting what they called the "anti-Obama tea parties.
Shakir said, "These tea parties are a sham. The reason they're a sham is because they're directed by lobbyists here in D.C. ... And on top of that, you've got this network, Fox News, which is advocacy -- pushing this, promoting this with all of its heart. And it is not a grassroots movement when you have Jonathan Hoening, Neil Cavuto, Glenn Beck, Greta van Susteren promoting this up the wazoo. That is not a grassroots movement.

Yeah, I care what this guy thinks.
Sounds Like the Communists are scared of this!
WTH is Faiz Shakir, and why do I care?
WTH is a Faiz Shakir?
“Normal” people usually don’t protest. This is probably scaring them.
They are like spoiled 5 year old kids who want everything their way....well F*ck YOU!
Note to Mr. Shakir,
Unlike the anti-war rallies of a few years ago, no one is being paid to attend these rallies. These rallies are not funded and supported by a certain billionaire. Real grass-roots movements scare folks like you because they are not orchestrated by a handful of groups with loads of financial support and trained organizers.
Progressive media??
LA Times called the protesters “Glue Sniffers” while MSNBC refers to them as a sexual reference.
who’d a thunk it?
“anti-Obama tea parties.
Yeah, thanks for helping get the word out.
It is funny how much it contrasts with the liberal program of late. Here we’ve got conservative grassroots organization with no clear leader, dedicated to certain policies. Meanwhile, modern liberalism is oriented very strongly around one great leader, Obama, who largely sets what is held to be correct policy.
some kind of a leftarded muzzie, I would think
Of course he’s going to say this.
These TEA parties...our movement...We’re fighting to reign in the spending and therefore size and scope of the government. This runs completely counter to liberal thinking. This is how they fight back.
Let them whine, complain and moan. It’s the only thing they’re good at.
President Obama, look behind you. No one (not taxpayers,at least) is following you.
Signed,
Joey B.
They really do think Fox News is what directs all our thoughts don’t they?
They are so apathetic about liberty they have to believe a news network is why people are interested in maintaining freedoms.
Brian Burke doesn’t know grassroots from his pre-printed commie poster days. Every protest he ever attended had the same people with a bullhorn and a free bus ticket given out like candy. Not that any of these sheep ever noticed.
The left can keep on laughing. People are showing up to protest, lots of people. I’m willing to bet that for every one that could take time out to protest there’s many more who wish they could have done likewise.
