Media Didn't Cover Tax Day Tea Parties - CITIZEN JOURNALIST Did.
The Voice Magazine ^ | April 16, 2009 | Brian Burke

Posted on 04/17/2009 6:46:30 AM PDT by truthnomatterwhat

We send out a press release two weeks prior to the Tax Day Tea Party protests to ask citizen journalists to report their stories, take pictures and send in their videos. Many have responded.

Citizen journalists understood the liberal media would not cover this historic event. If they (the liberal media) didn't bury it, they mocked it. Some of the mainstream media -- the ones that actually showed up -- were reported to be disrespectful to protesters. Things have changed indeed, we have politicians who don't listen to their constituents and then there's the media who doesn't want to report a nationwide historic event that concerns all Americans. What are they afraid of?

Citizen journalists took action and penned their Tax Day Tea Party stories... if you have a story to tell about the Tax Day Tea Party or have a Video and pictures to share, contact us TEAParty@thevoicemagazine.com.

And then the government is now talking about bailing newspapers out. Pravda here we come.

Our local (statewide) TV station had a production van with a satellite rig at the site (which must have been an imposing task, the TV station’s offices being a whole 0.85 miles from the protest site). But they never once attempted a “live shot” or even a recorded interviews with participants during the rally.

Things have changed indeed, we have politicians who don’t listen to their constituents and then there’s the media who doesn’t want to report a nationwide historic event that concerns all Americans.

We found out the hard way in September. When the phone calls were 300:1 to not pass the TARP bill, Congress didn’t listen. There were other ways. There were other economists that disagreed. But Congress was hell bent on doing what they did.
Now that we have billions of our tax dollars disappearing down a black hole, all we can do is say, “Told you so.”
This is going to get ugly. No economic ‘recovery’ in the growth sense is coming. There will be no encouragement of ‘entrepreneurs’ to carry us out of this recession like all the others in the past. The writing is on the wall and they are going ‘Galt’.

I just loaded my photos from the Sacramento Tea Party. I shot a lot of the signs. ... some patriot shots.. and some of Neil Cavuto & Michael Reagan. .. I think I’ve got a shot of Tom McClintock.

Here is the direct link to the album... I’d recommend to click “slideshow” for a faster presentation .. or “show all” (at the bottom) to view all of the (large) thumbnails (there are a little over 100 pix):
