Need to jump all over Senator Pat Roberts [Republican] of Kansas

We all know the other Republican [Olympia Snowe of Maine] is a RINO.

But there are some conservative state Senators might be urged to join a filibuster on this nominee...

If nothing else, allow her to get in, and then start the IMPEACHMENT proceedings against her.

She has lied to Congress, which would be one grounds for impeachment...

Well, I’ll say one thing. I think Steele weighed in at exactly the right time. For once the Republicans seem to be doing something right—and politically smart.

This is way better than his Nazi Germany quote. He’s getting better.

But there are some conservative state Senators might be urged to join a filibuster on this nominee...

Senator Ben Nelson-D of Nebraska has helped the Republicans with filibusters and votes... He voted with the Republicans to prevent the Mexico City policy on abortion from being overturned...

There are Senators from conservative Western states that are Democrat and, in my opinion vulnerable. These would be North Dakota (Conrad and Dorgan), South Dakota, Montana (Baucus and possibly Tester)...

Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

The Tea Parties have fired up a number of Americans. Maybe that energy can be used to thwart Sebelius becoming HHS Secretary...

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele today challenged President Obama to withdraw his nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of Health and Human Services, until straightforward answers be given regarding her ties to the abortion industry.
Straightforward answers *have* been given, just not by her, or her abortionist supporter, or by the Obama administration. A quick search for Sibellius site:freerepublic.com makes for interesting reading.

I can understand Roberts introducing her to the senate as a fellow Kansas, that's a common courtesy. Even the idiot widow Carhnahan did it for John Ashcroft eight years ago (after he graciously yielded the senate seat to her in a highly questionable election), but in the end she voted against confirmation. Roberts needs to make it clear that he will do the same.

Yes, it will probably only be a symbolic gesture. Sebelius has the votes to get in anyway.

She should get confirmed and Kansas should be rid of her. She will be another one Oba Mao can throw under the bus when he needs a boost in his ratings.

This is fire for the Notre Dame Scandal. Today Sebelius thumbed her nose at the Pro Life movement with another veto...

This time to protect abortionists from lawsuits...

Another Obama pro-abort ally to move to Washington, DC.

Maybe the Notre Dame Scandal folks should vent hostility towards Sebelius/Obama by fighting this nomination...

Just a thought!

This is why Republicans are such losers.
They give tax evaders, lobbyists, and Wall Street criminals a pass when 0bama nominates them, but then raise a fuss over abortion.

It’s like the GOP is trying to to make itself irrelevant.
Honestly, if Democrats were devising a way to destroy the Republican party from the inside, could they do any better than this current crop of Republicans are doing?

Think about it.
